Scope of application of the inter-networks interchange rates

The inter-networks interchange rates are applied to transactions in which the parties intervening as issuer and acquirer belong to different domestic card payments schemes.


Procedure for assigning inter-network interchange rates

Every quarter the Bank of Spain calculates the rates for the previous quarter on the basis of the inter-networks data reported by each of the three domestic card payments schemes (Euro6000, Sistema 4B, and ServiRed).
