As with the Visa/MasterCard Gold card, Visa/MasterCard Platinum cardholders can choose among a variety of payment options and schedules for maximum ease in financing personal expenses.

The forms of payment associate with these types of products are debit, debit deferred to the end of the month, deferred debit and revolving credit.

The services available to Visa/MasterCard Platinum cardholders include:

  • 24-hour telephone help line: We will answer all non-urgent questions about the use of your card while you are travelling.
  • Lost or stolen cards service: This service ensures that your card will be blocked to prevent its use by unauthorized persons if it is lost or stolen in Spain or abroad.

These services are common to all Visa/MasterCard products. In addition, Visa/MasterCard Platinum offers the following exclusive services:

  • Emergency card replacement: Cardholders will be issued an emergency card immediately in the event of lost, theft, or damage to their Visa/MasterCard Platinum card.
  • Emergency cash advances: Emergency cash will be furnished to any cardholder whose card has been lost or stolen. When no member financial institution is close at hand, the cash will be delivered directly to the cardholder.
  • Legal and medical assistance: Cardholders may receive information about specialist physicians and lawyers that can assist them with legal or medical problems, ranging from general legal advice and medical supervision to specific legal aid and emergency care.   • Value added services: These include advantages in luxury hotel chains, car rentals, and other establishments for holders of Visa Platinum cards issued by members of ServiRed.
